Cabinda - At least 242,314) people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in Cabinda province since the first cases of the disease appeared in the country in March 2020.
Cabinda province has so far received 555,810 doses of vaccines from Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm and Johnson&Johnson.
Speaking briefly to Angop on Tuesday, the provincial health secretary, Ruben de Fátima Buco, said that 263,803 people had received the vaccine from Pfizer, 97,000 from AstraZeneca, 177,000 from Sinopharm and 20,900 from Johnson&Johnson.
To date, 138,869 people have already completed the two doses of the vaccines recommended.
"The vaccination process has been running satisfactorily, with people voluntarily going to the posts set up in urban, municipal and communal centres," he said, adding the existence of mobile teams in the countryside or villages.
Mr. Buco said that the Multisectoral Commission for Surveillance and Combat of Covid-19 has a target of vaccinating 426,670 people.
