Covid-19: Angola reports 235 recoveries, 222 new infections

Luanda - At least 235 patients recovered, 222 new cases and five deaths is the balance of Covid-19 in Angola, in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily bulletin to which ANGOP had access, among the recovered patients, 229 reside in Luanda and six in Benguela province.

As for the new cases, 214 were diagnosed in Luanda, 3 in Cabinda, 2 in Huambo, 1 in Benguela, 1 in Cuanza Sul and 1 in Cuanza Norte.

Among the new patients, whose ages range from 1 to 74, 117 are men and 105 women.

The deaths, involving Angolan citizens, were registered in Luanda province.

The general picture shows 24,883 cases, with 570 deaths, 22,882 recovered and 1,431 active. Of those active, 11 are in a critical state, 13 serious, 67 moderate, 41 light and 1,299 asymptomatic.

In the last 24 hours, 1,905 samples were processed.

132 patients are in the inpatient centres, while 129 citizens are in institutional quarantine.

The authorities are keeping 1,380 contacts under epidemiological surveillance.
