Luanda - Health authorities announced Thursday, the recovery of 1,240 patients, 674 new infections and 5 deaths, in the last 24 hours.
According to the daily bulletin, 897 recovered patients reside in Luanda, 162 in Huambo, 71 in Namibe, 37 in Cuando Cubango, 32 in Huíla, 24 in Lunda Sul, 6 in Lunda Norte, 6 in Uíge and 5 in Moxico.
Among the new cases, 353 were diagnosed in the provinces of Luanda, 71 in Cabinda, 61 in Namibe, 49 in Benguela, 39 in Zaire, 25 in Cuando Cubango, 24 in Huambo, 16 in Huíla, 14 in Moxico, 8 in Lunda Norte, 6 in Bié, 5 in Lunda Sul and 3 in Uíge.
From the new patients, whose age ranges from 1 month to 86 years, 466 are male and 208 are female.
In the last 24 hours, the laboratories processed 7,318 samples, with a daily positivity rate of 9.2 percent.
The deaths were recorded in the provinces of Luanda with 2, Huambo with 2 and Bié with 1, respectively.
Angola has 92,581 confirmed cases, 82,281 recoveries, 1,847 deaths and 8,453 active. From those actives, 14 are in a critical condition, 31 are severe, 61 are moderate, 86 are mild and 8,261 are asymptomatic.
In the treatment centers, 192 patients are hospitalized, while 145 are under institutional quarantine.
