Luanda – Angola reported 311 recoveries, 154 fresh cases and 12 deaths on Friday, bringing the country’s death tally to 1.082.
The information was released by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the usual data update session, who put the number of the recoveries at 88 in the country’s capital, Luanda.
Recoveries were also reported in the provinces of Lunda Norte with 76, Moxico 49, Cunene 33, Benguela 22, huambo 14, Lunda Sul 13, Zaire 8, Huila 3, Uige 3, Malanje 1 and 1 in Namibe.
As for the new cases, Franco Mufinda said that 65 were diagnosed in Luanda, 19 in Lunda Sul, 12 in Benguela, 12 in Lunda Norte, 12 in Moxico, 11 in Cuando Cubango, 11 in Bié, 4 in Cabinda, 3 in Huambo, 2 in Cunene, 1 in Cuanza Sul, 1 in Malanje and 1 in Uíge.
The fatalities happened in Luanda with 3, Benguela 2, Huíla 2, Lunda Sul 2, Bié 1, Cunene 1 and Uíge with 1, respectively.
So far, the country has 44,328 positive cases, 1,082 deaths, 41,335 recoveries and 1,911 active patients.
