Covid-19: Angola registers 168 new infections

Luanda - Angola registered 168 new infections, 2 deaths and 19 recovered patients in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily update that ANGOP had access to, among the new cases, 148 were diagnosed in Luanda, 7 in Benguela, 5 in Huíla, 3 in Zaire, 2 in Cabinda, 1 in Huambo, Cuanza Norte and in Malanje respectively .

 

The new patients are between 2 months and 88 years old, 80 of whom are male and 88 are female.

 

The deaths involve Angolan citizens living in the provinces of Luanda and Huíla.

 

The recovered are all residents of Luanda.

 

The country’s overall picture shows 25,051 cases, with 572 deaths, 22,901 recovered and 1,578 active.

 

Of the current diseased, 11 are in critical condition, 13 severe, 67 moderate, 41 mild and 1,446 asymptomatic.

 

In the last 24 hours, 1,919 samples were processed.

 

There are132 diseased citizens as inpatients in different medical centres and130 citizens in institutional quarantine.

 

The authorities control 1,229 contacts under epidemiological surveillance.
