Covid-19: Angola reports 419 new infections and 20 deaths

Luanda – Angola health authorities announced this Wednesday, 419 new cases, 20 deaths and the recoveries of 70 patients in the last 24 hours.

The daily bulletin also reported 303 new cases in Luanda, 43 in Benguela, 18 in Huambo, 14 in Cuando Cubango, 14 in Huíla, 9 in Cabinda, 7 in Uíge, 5 in Namibe, 2 in Lunda Sul , 2 in Zaire, 1 in Cunene and 1 in Malanje.

 

The list included 218 male and 201 female patients, whose ages ranged from 1 month to 93 years.

 

The deaths were reported in provinces of Benguela, with 7, Luanda with 3, Cuando Cubango 2, Moxico 2, Namibe 2, Huambo 2, Bengo 1 and Cunene with 1.

 

The laboratories processed, in the last 24 hours, 3,242 samples.

 

According to the source 356 patients are hospitalized, 188 are in institutional quarantine and 3,199 contacts of positive cases are under epidemiological surveillance.

 

So far, Angola has 53,387 positive cases, of which 1,434 deaths, 46,252 recoveries and 5,701 active patients. Of the active, 39 are critical, 50 serious, 174 moderate, 93 mild and 5,345 asymptomatic.
