Covid-19: Angola receives over one million Sinopharm vaccines

Luanda – Angola received Monday 1.2 million doses of Sinopharm´s vaccine, as part of Covax initiative.

The figure was confirmed by State Secretary for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who said that the batch is part of national vaccination plan outlined by Executive, aimed to immunise the greatest number of citizens aged over 18 years.

 

Mufinda added that with this vaccines the Angolan Executive intends to  increase mobile brigades to reach the largest number of citizens across the country.

 

He put at 3.2 million the number of doses, of the four vaccines, administered so far in the country, .

 

In Angola, the vaccination process began on 2 March.
