Luanda- Angolan health officials announced Thursday 664 new cases, 11 deaths and the recovery of 386 patients in the last 24 hours.
As many as 402 cases were reported in Luanda, followed by Cuanza Sul with 99.
Also 61 fresh cases were recorded in Benguela, 46 in Huambo, 19 in Cabinda, 18 in Uíge, nine in Huila, four in Cunene, two in Bié, two in Cuando Cubango, one in Lunda Norte and one in Zaire.
The new cases feature 356 male and 308 female patients, aged 21 days - 99 years.
Updating the covid-19 statistics, the minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, said that six deaths were registered in Luanda, three in Benguela, one in Cuando Cubango and one in Huambo.
As for the recoveries, she said that 327 are residents in Luanda, 32 in Uíge, nine in Huíla, seven in Cabinda, six in Huambo, two in Moxico and with one each, Benguela, Cuando Cubango and Lunda Sul.
The country’s global tally stands at 57,247 infections, 1,548 deaths, 47,950 recoveries and 7,749 active patients.
