Luanda - The Angolan authorities have reported , between the 1st and the 30th of April, a total of 3,942 new cases of Covid-19, all over the country.
Official figures point to an increase of 2,439 cases in relation to March, with 29 April being the most critical, with 263 records.
In terms of recoveries, the table indicates that there were, in this period, 3,339, 2,207 more in relation to the month of March, when there were 1,132 patients recovered.
In this regard, the data indicate that 5 April, with a total of 573 patients recovered, was the most satisfactory.
In comparative terms, 4 April was the quietest day of the month, with only 52 new cases of Covid-19 recorded.
In addition to the increase in cases, the month of April also saw an increase in deaths, with 58 occurrences, 29 more compared to the previous month.
The data for the month of March refers that there were 1,503 new cases, 1,132 recovered cases and 29 deaths.
The overall picture for the country is 26,815 positive cases, with 600 deaths, 23,913 recovered and 2,302 active patients.
Of the active patients, 10 are critical, 19 severe, 91 moderate, 69 mild and 2,113 asymptomatic.
The laboratories have processed 2,111 samples in the last 24 hours.
Under institutional quarantine are 125 citizens, while 1,524 are under epidemiological surveillance and 189 are hospitalised in treatment centres nationwide.
