Luanda - The Angolan health authorities reported, Wednesday, 189 new cases, 84 recovered patients and 5 deaths, in the last 24 hours.
According to the daily bulletin to which Angop had access, 76 were diagnosed in Cunene, 55 in Lunda Norte, 27 in Luanda, 7 in Benguela, 7 in Moxico, 6 in Huambo, 4 in Huila, 2 in Cabinda, 2 in Lunda Sul, 1 in Bié, 1 in Malanje and 1 in Zaire.
With ages ranging from 5 months to 84 years, the list included 103 men and 83 women.
The deaths were registered in Cuanza Sul with 3, Huambo with 1, and Malanje with 1, respectively.
Meanwhile, 66 of those recovered reside in Luanda, 16 in Huambo, 1 in Huila and 1 in Zaire.
The laboratories processed 3,346 samples.
The authorities control 183 people in institutional quarantine centres, 2,071 under epidemiological surveillance and 92 patients in treatment centres.
Angola has 40,327 positive cases, with 946 deaths, 34,584 recovered and 4,797 active. Of the active cases, 12 are critical, 8 serious, 54 moderate, 18 light and 4,705 asymptomatic.
