Covid-19: Angola registers 231 new infections and 56 recoveries

Luanda – The Angolan health authorities announced this Tuesday 231 new infections, 56 recoveries and 3 deaths.

According to the daily report, 142 infections were diagnosed in Lunda Norte Province, 37 in Luanda, 25 in Moxico, 9 in Benguela, 7 in Lunda Sul, 4 in Huíla and Huambo and 3 in Zaire.

 

With ages ranging from 1 month to 78 years, the list includes 111 male and 120 female.

 

The deaths were registered in the provinces of Cunene, Huíla and Moxico, respectively.

 

Regarding the recoveries, according to the daily report, 40 reside in Huambo, 15 in Luanda and 1 in Benguela.

 

The labs processed 4,028 samples.

 

The authorities control 153 people in institutional quarantine centers, 2,696 under epidemiological surveillance and 139 patients in treatment centers.

 

The country, so far, has registered 42,110 positive cases, with 994 deaths, plus 35,742 recoveries and 5,374 active cases.

 

Of the current diseased, 2 are critical, 13 severe, 90 moderate, 34 mild and 5,235 asymptomatic.
