Dundo - The equipment of the Regional Molecular Biology Laboratory for the COVID-19, in the province of Lunda Norte, are since Wednesday in the city of Dundo.
These are Lisa and RT-PCR test machines that start to be installed from Thursday at the Dundo Diagnostic Centre, which is scheduled to be completed by next Saturday.
The laboratory, with the capacity to carry out two thousand tests per day, will serve the provinces of Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul and Moxico.
According to the spokesperson for the Multi-sectoral Commission for Response to Covid-19 in Lunda Norte, Filomeno Simão, who received the equipment, eight technicians trained in Luanda will ensure the operation of the laboratory, located in the Samacaca district, municipality of Chitato.

Seven players from the Lunda Norte Sagrada Esperança sports group are waiting for the confirmation of the results of molecular tests, after being diagnosed reactive in the rapid testing.
According to Filomena Simão, tests were also carried out on a administrative worker of the same club who tested positive.
It is a 36-year-old woman who has already been admitted to Dundo Campaign Hospital.
