Luanda - The country's political and religious personalities reaffirmed the importance of the population joining the vaccination campaign against Covid-19, to avoid mass contamination.

The country has already administered the first batch of the AstraZeneka vaccine to more than 11,000 citizens, including health professionals and the elderly.
According to the MP Luísa Damião, it is necessary to invite everyone to this form of immunization, taking into account that all forms of precautions are necessary in this pandemic moment.
Speaking to the press, after receiving the vaccine, Luísa Damião highlighted the government's efforts to immunize the citizens.
MP and former Speaker of the National Assembly, Roberto de Almeida, also pointed out that vaccination can help prevent other serious complications.
Parliamentarian Lucas Ngonda, on the other hand, advises the population not to have unfounded fears, since the vaccine, before being given to people, passes through internationally recognized scientific institutions.
The expectation is that there will be enough vaccine to cover the entire population to safeguard human life.
Cardinal Emeritus, Dom Alexandre do Nascimento, affirmed that life is a “gift from God” and, therefore, believes in the population's adherence to vaccination.
