Luanda – Angola’s minister of Health Sílvia Lutucuta Sunday in Luanda said that the sector will continue to focus on digital transformation and development of tools for the sustainability of on-site health care.
The minister spoke of the provision of humanised and quality health care throughout the entire life cycle of each user.
Addressing the celebrations that marked the National Health Workers' Day on 25 Sept, the minister said that the event takes place at a time when the new Legislature begins, with renewed energy, determination and desire to serve Angola and the Angolans.
As strategies, she said, the sector will use on-site health service by strengthening primary health care and health communication to inform and influence the decisions of individuals, families and communities in order to promote their health and prevent diseases.
As for the universal health coverage and the control of epidemics, such as Covid-19, the minister called for combined effort of everyone to avoid the risks of contracting diseases and threats to health.
Sílvia Lutucuta stressed the need for everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19, from 12 years of age and vaccinating all children under five with other antigens to ensure the full control of the pandemic and increased coverage.
On the date of 25th of September, the minister described as an opportunity to reflect on the commitments to provide health services closer to the population without hesitation.
