Luanda - A public tender to fill 8,000 vacancies in the health sector will be launched this month, said Friday the minister of health.
Sílvia Lutucuta announced the intention to the press at the end of the visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to the construction works of the general hospitals of Viana and Cacuaco, both in Luanda.
She explained that the 8,000 jobs, out of a total of 24,000 to be recruited in the next three years, will be directed to health units built under the Integrated Intervention Plan for Municipalities (PIIM) and to health units under construction.
Silvia Lutucuta stressed that specialized training of doctors, diagnosis technicians and nurses for the referred units is assured.
She informed that 80 percent of the 33,000 professionals admitted in the two tenders have been deployed in the various municipalities of the country.
The Health Minister believes that the general hospitals of Cacuaco and Viana, which are under construction, will reduce the pressure on the reference health units.
Sílvia Lutucuta reaffirmed the bet on the provision of specialized and quality pediatric services, with more beds, without neglecting the improvement of primary health care, logistics, infrastructures, as well as disease prevention.
As for the construction of general hospitals in Viana and Cacuaco, the minister said that it is justified, since the two municipalities do not have reference hospitals with the desired levels.
To the health professionals, Sílvia Lutucuta encouraged them to fulfill their profession with humanism and to adhere to training processes.
