Cabinda - More than a million dollars were invested in 2023, in community works in the province of Cabinda, by the group ACREP - Exploração Petrolífero, SA, as part of its social responsibility.

The information was provided, Tuesday, by the group's president of the board of directors, Marlene Costa, during the inauguration ceremony of the offices in Cabinda.

According to Marlene Costa, with this amount it was possible to install an energy transformation station, with the capacity to support more than a thousand household connections, to distribute electricity to the villages of São Vicente and Muana Nfula.

She assured that the PT will be powered from the oil company's production field, through the pilot project for the distribution of clean electrical energy, generated by gas.

Still within the scope of its social responsibilities, the oil company rehabilitated and built two (2) primary schools, an equal number of churches and water holes in the villages of São Vicente and Nbiantu, respectively.

Marlene Costa said that since the installation of ACREP group companies in Cabinda, more than 80 jobs have been created.

He assured that with the entry into operation of other onshore oil and gas production areas, more jobs will be made available to young people in the region.

ACREP began exploration operations in 2004, having participated in the drilling of 15 research wells, with expenses of around $80 millions.

The company participates in the Offshore Block 1/14 research program. As operator of Cabinda Sul Onshore, ACREP plans to increase its production in 2024 and put the gas field into operation in 2025 for energy generation.
