Luanda - Around 300 firefighters participated today on the Marginal de Luanda, in a march that served to demonstrate the role and strength of these professionals in society.
Under the motto "Respect and gender affirmation" the activity was carried out by the Firefighter Women's Association.
On the occasion, the event's spokesperson, deputy fire commissioner, Teresa Márcia Manuel, said that Angolan firefighters intend to be seen as brave warriors for the Ministry of the Interior.
For the paradigm shift, she said, they held this support march to show their multifaceted skills, with several professions within one.
However, she pointed out the training challenge as an obstacle to overcome for women to stand out more in this sector.
During the activity, the firefighters carried out, in a simulation style, a rescue on a terrace, of a body on the high seas, extinguishing a fire and rescuing with an ambulance.
The Association controls more than two thousand professionals. ML/ART/CF/DOJ
