Huambo – The Journalists Training Centre (CEFOJOR) in the central Huambo Province, has opened the enrolment period for several short courses.
According to a note to which ANGOP had access, the number of places available for each course, which lasts between 10 and 30 days, will depend on demand, bearing in mind that the centre's management is committed to dynamic activities.
The document stresses that the same as it is in the capital city of Luanda, the centre in Huambo will provide training with high standards aiming to prepare the future trainees for the challenges of the modern world.
Report and Opinion Writing Techniques, Initial Pedagogical Training for Trainers, Selling and Negotiation Techniques, Official Documents Writing Techniques, Customer Service, Advanced Excel, IT, Speech and Presentation Techniques, Management and Leadership, Graphic Design, Oratory, Executive Secretarial Techniques, Institutional Communication and Press Office, are some of the courses available.
CEFOJOR´s train offer includes as well the human resources management, Labour legislation, photojournalism and video editing techniques, filmmaking course, Digital marketing and page layout, Master of Ceremonies (MC), Interviewing, Reporting techniques, Communication techniques form taxi drivers, Courses in Portuguese, Kimbundu, Umbundu, Kikongo, English and French, as well as Basic sound techniques for disc jockey (DJ).
The note states that the centre has excellent facilities with state-of-the-art technology that promote a good environment for the development of the institution's users.
Located in Huambo's second Academic Zone, specifically in the Macolocolo neighbourhood, the management of CEFOJOR, reiterates its commitment to making knowledge accessible to all, as the centre's motto states, standing out as a benchmark in the technical and professional training of journalists and other leading figures in the most diverse sectors.
Characterisation of CEFOJOR
Built to serve the country and the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the infrastructure, budgeted at around 35 million US dollars, comprises six buildings, one of which is reserved for catering, two multi-sports courts and six guest residences, , as well as television, radio, studios and press newsroom.
CEFOJOR-Huambo's facilities are designed to stimulate the academic and practical growth of students in order to improve their skills.
The infrastructure was inaugurated on January 12, this year by the Head of State João Lourenço and is open from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday.
