Benguela – The Bishop Emeritus of Menongue Diocese Dom Mário Lukunde, who died last Sunday (Feb 26), was considered a man of intellect and silence.
Dom Mário Lukunde died at the age of 65 in the General Hospital of the capital city of the coastal Benguela province, victim of illness.
Praising the Bishop Emeritus on Monday, the vicar of the diocesan clergy of the coastal Benguela province, Father Martinho Kavaya, said Mário Lukunde was a true man of intellect and eloquent silence.
Father Martinho Kavaya, who reacted to the death of the Bishop Emeritus of Menongue, praised the way the Bishop Mário dealt with problems or adversities and make the right decisions.
As for the funerals, Martinho Kavaya clarified that when a Bishop dies it is up to CEAST to set the date and place of the funeral.
Mário Lukunde was born on May 13, 1957 in the municipality of Caimbambo, province of Benguela.
