Luanda – The Angolan Executive announced last Friday the continuation of the State of Calamity, thus keeping in force the preventive measures against Covid-19 for another thirty days, as from this Monday.
According to Adão de Almeida, minister of State and Head of the Civil Affairs Office of the President of the Republic, speaking at a press conference, the idea is to strengthen the levels of prevention and protection of citizens against the pandemic.
The government official said the same measures that were in place since the last presidential decree on the issue, remain in force countrywide.
He commended the behaviour of the majority of citizens who have been contributing to the reduction of infections by adopting the said measures.
The renewed State of Calamity runs from 23rd November to 22nd December.
