Sumbe - The Integrated Plan of Intervention in the Municipalities (PIIM) paid to the contractors in Kwanza Sul, until last October, 4.1 billion Kwanzas , ANGOP learnt from the local office of Infra - structures and Technical Services.
The amounts are part of the works contracts awarded to contractors worth 15.2 billion, according to the director of the provincial office of Infrastructures and Technical Services, Heitor Alfredo.
In Kwanza Sul, the PIIM has 85 projects under execution, with 1,012 temporary jobs out of the 1,624 planned.
The total value of the PIIM is 35.2 billion Kwanzas.
The work began in December 2019 and the portfolio of projects in education, health, communications and other areas includes 112 registered, of which 99 are municipal, four provincial and nine central.
The contracts signed include 417 million for water projects, 2.8 million Kwanza for education, 664 million Kwanzas for the energy sector, while health accounted for 2.7 billion.
