Namacunde - Forty-one professional kits were delivered on Thursday in the municipality of Namacunde (Cunene), to seven associations of entrepreneurs, within the framework of the Local Development and Combating Poverty Program (PDLCP).
These are kits for mechanics, commerce, cooking, cutting and sewing, hairdressing, pastry shops, mobile carts, two and three-wheel motorbikes.
The seven cooperatives bring together 129 people.
On the occasion, the municipal administrator of Namacunde, Cristiana Nameomuno, said that the kits are intended to boost commercial activity and improve the conditions of their families.
According head, the delivery is about empowering women, encouraging youth entrepreneurship and former soldiers’ reintegration.
He said that the beneficiaries underwent 15-day training on education and financial inclusion, business management and promoting self-employment, in order to obtain greater income.
"The Angolan Executive will continue to promote public policies, with a view to improving economic integration and the living conditions of young people, especially their integration into the job market", he stated.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Otaviana Ndayambekwa thanked the administration for the initiative, highlighting that the material will allow the creation of small businesses and employment of other young people in the communities.
The Integrated Local Development and Poverty Combat Program has an annual budget of 336 million Kwanzas. The municipality of Namacunde has a population of about 142,000 inhabitants. PEM/LHE/OHA/CF/DOJ
