Dundo - The governor of Lunda Norte province, Ernesto Muangala, Friday guided the new director of the Office for Infrastructure and Technical Services, António Matias, to work with municipal administrations to identify the main secondary roads that are degraded in order to improve them, using road maintenance and rehabilitation equipment.
In 2020 the government of Lunda Norte benefited from two road maintenance and rehabilitation kits made up of a bulldozer, tractor, motor grader, wheel loader, rotary loader, smooth drum, sheepsfoot, backhoe loader, dump truck, machine carrier truck, self-dumper truck with asphalt emulsion spreader, support vans and cargo truck with crane.
The kits also have brush cutters, vibrating pebbles, vibratory plate, gravel spreader, concrete mixer, motor saw, pavement cutter, petrol pump, trailer compressor, pneumatic hammer, manual vibrator cylinder and electric generator in addition to individual protection tools.
The local government has set up two brigades, one in Cuango municipality, to cover the southern part of the province, and another in Chitato, for the northern part of Lunda Norte.
