Ndalatando - One person died and nine were injured due to the fall of a high voltage electrical cable, which occurred on Saturday, in Ndalatando, Cuanza-Norte province administrative seat.
The information was provided Sunday, in this city, by the spokesperson for the Cuanza Norte Provincial Command of the Civil Protection and Fire Service (SPCB), Hélder Milagre.
According to the official, the incident occurred in the Camunzuzulo neighborhood (outskirts of Ndalatando), caused by rain, accompanied by strong winds, which hit the city during Saturday night.
As a result, a 14-year-old child died from electrocution at the scene and nine other people were injured.
The injured, including a child with third-degree burns, were transported to the Cuanza Norte Provincial Hospital, where they are being treated.
In turn, the general director of the health unit, Armando Manuel, reported that, of the nine patients transported to that unit, one with third-degree burns was transferred to Luanda.
He added that the others with minor injuries were discharged after receiving first aid.
This is the first case of its kind recorded this year in the province.
