Uige - The first secretary of MPLA's provincial committee in Uige, José Carvalho da Rocha, reiterated today (Saturday), in Sanza-Pombo municipality, the appeal to the inhabitants of that municipality to continue observing the biosecurity measures, in order to avoid the tendency of increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 in the region.
Uige province registered the first cases of Covid-19 in July 2020 and currently has an accumulation of 230 positive cases, 16 deaths, 203 recovered and 11 active.
Speaking at an assembly of party militants, the politician called on MPLA militants in the municipality to frequently sensitise the population about wearing masks, sanitising hands with alcohol gel and complying with social distancing.
"I want to ask all of you in the neighbourhoods and in our homes to sensitise our relatives, friends and those who live with us to observe biosecurity measures," he appealed.
