Luanda – Angolan Air Carrier (TAAG) Friday announced plans to strengthen the weekly connections to the provinces of Benguela, Huíla, Lunda Norte, Moxico, Cunene and Huambo.
The company said that as of August 23 this year it will increase 11 new flights that will mainly be secured by the Dash 8 Q400 aircrafts, according to press note that has reached ANGOP.
TAAG said that the decision followed the greater mobility and interest by the passengers in travelling within Angolan territory.
Therefore, Luanda/Catumbela (Benguela) route weekly frequencies will increase from 4 to 7 flights, while Luanda/Lubango (Huíla) from 4 to 6 flights.
Luanda/Dundo (Lunda Norte) from 4 to 5 weekly flights, Luanda/Luena (Moxico) from 4 to 5 flights.
Luanda/Ondjiva (Cunene) from 2 to 4 flights and Luanda/Huambo (Huambo) from 2 to 4 flights.
As for Luanda/Cabinda, the frequencies will increase from 23 to 26, with approximately 90% of the flights being operated by a Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The note clarifies that the move will help respond to the high volume of passengers and cargo in transit between Luanda and Cabinda.
Another connections will be covered by the Dash 8 Q400 aircraft.
