Luanda - Twenty restaurants, from thirteen different neighborhoods of the Angolan capital city, will be covered, this year, by the 'Rota do Sossego' tourist project, which aims to stimulate and challenge the creativity of gastronomy and boost the restaurant sub-sector in Luanda.
Like the first (in 2022), this 2nd edition is promoted by Vinus - official distributor of Sogrape wines in Angola, with the aim of creating a perfect balance between conviviality, friendship and the characteristic flavors of the Angolan capital.
For the promoter, the initiative encourages the democratization and moderate consumption of specific wines, challenges various chefs to prepare creative and original snacks and invites the public to experience innovative dynamics.
This 2nd edition of the 'Rota do Sossego' was launched on Tuesday night, in one of the hotels in the Urban District of Maianga, municipality of Luanda, to test the talent and creativity of twenty Luanda cuisine professionals and boost restaurant activity locations.
On the occasion, Vinus' Marketing Director, José Carlos Gomes, explained that this time the project involves more restaurants, Chefs, locations, prizes, discounts and dynamics, with emphasis on the “Brigada da Sorte”, an action that counts on the support from several national influencers.
“We continue to look at Rota do Sossego as an innovative and accessible initiative, as it allows, for just 4 thousand kwanzas, to enjoy a complete sensorial experience, with a good glass of Sossego wine and a delicious snack prepared for the occasion', he argued. .
He said he wants to 'genuinely contribute to boosting the restaurant subsector and promoting creativity in national cuisine, to make the Route also a vehicle for tourist attraction for the capital, and a promoter of good moments of socializing between families and friends'.
In this second edition, which ends on March 22nd, the Rota do Sossego will pass through the spaces O Alentejano, Jardins de Viana, Ermelta Rest, O Forno, O Almeidas, Garden, Junkembo, Nikkis House, Ceano, Tortillas, Mbawa, Madeirense, O Naval, Clube S, Taverna do Belas, Taverna do Morro.
It will also include the Lisboa Restaurant, Hotel Continental Horizonte and Teimosa da Banda, located in the areas of Viana, Benfica, Talatona, Morro Bento, Ilha de Luanda, Mutamba, Maculusso, Maianga, Futungo, Cacuaco, among others, according to a note from the mentor of the project.
In addition to maintaining the focus on boosting tourism, this 2nd Edition of the Rota do Sossego aims to stimulate the growth of the local economy through the increasing presence of customers in the selected restaurants (sequential format) for this new phase.
The first edition took place in 2022, starting on September 29th, covering 16 restaurants that joined the initiative, located in ten points of the city, with emphasis on the areas of Miramar, Maculusso, Maianga, Alvalade, Coqueiros, Mutamba, Ilha do Cabo, Morro Bento and Futungo. OMG/DOJ
