Nina Maria Fite said she had taken advantage of the meeting to learn about the state of the church in Cuanza Norte and the situation of sites with potential for church tourism, particularly those located in the historic area of Massangano, in Cambambe municipality, which could count on a partnership with the United States, as part of their recovery and revitalization.
The US diplomat also said she had discussed with the religious leader, the main projects of the local church, especially in the sectors of health, education and others aimed at supporting the neediest communities.
The Bishop of the Ndalatando Diocese praised the gesture of the American Ambassador and said he had taken the opportunity to present the real situation of the church, followed by a balance of the social and missionary projects underway in Cuanza Norte.
