Benguela - Hotel units in Benguela Province have recorded an occupancy rate of 100 percent, this prolonged weekend, due to Carnival 2024, ANGOP learned.
Motivated by the national holiday due to Carnival (13) in Angola, hundreds of national and foreign tourists travelled to Benguela by road and airway, looking for sun tourism and beach.
According to the head of Provincial Department of Hospitality and Tourism of Benguela, João Calete, the Lodges, Pensions and Residentials are also an occupancy rate of 100 percent.
He said that despite Luanda Carnival, Benguela once again received many national tourists from the country's capital, Zaire, Malanje and Huambo.
As for the foreigner, he highlighted the presence of tourists residing in Luanda, however from Namibia, South Africa and Portugal.
For him, the high looking for touristy in this period of Carnival reaffirms Benguela as a destination of excellence for resident tourists. JH/CRB/DOJ
