Luanda - The Angolan physician João Mulima is since last week a FIFA staffer, becoming the first Angolan to fulfill that role in this world football institution.

The information was provided by the doctor himself to ANGOP, during the 12th Consultative Council of the Youth and Sports Ministry, whereby he stated that he received the certification from FIFA last week.

“The international organizations are attentive towards the Angolan works. I am satisfied as a doctor, it’s a reason of pride”, he said.

To reach to that position, the Angolan physician, specialist in sportive medicine, completed various FIFA training programmes with distinction, reason why he immediately becomes part of the FIFA medical cadres.

The specialist is currently the chairman of the National Sports Medicine Centre and also the physician of the handball and basketball national teams.

In sport leadership, João Mulima was the head of the Luanda Provincial Association of Athletics, for eight years.
