Luanda - The basketball teams of Petro de Luanda and Interclube starred in an authentic festival that dignified the name of former coach Victorino Cunha, said Friday in Luanda, coach Lazare Adingono.

Speaking to the press, after his team's (Petro) victory over their opponents (Interclube) by 72-62 in the opening game of the 11th edition of the Victorino Cunha tournament, held in the Cidadela pavilion, the Cameroonian said that the more important is to provide a show worthy of being seen and in the grandeur and size of the honoree.

“It was a very well played game, as both teams had a competitive behavior to please the spectators and the teacher Victorino Cunha. So we are present to compete and provide a worthy festival, ”he said.

In his turn, Interclube coach Raul Duarte, who praised the team's stance despite the defeat, justified that they are working to improve the still-deficient aspects.

“The team had a good posture, giving the necessary reply to the opponents, who bear the title of national champions. We need to improve our external game and be more effective in other sectors so that we can evolve in terms of competitive ability, ”he admitted.
