Soccer body candidate pledges new clubs

Saurimo - The candidate for the helm of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), António Gomes, pledged the emerging of new clubs, as well as a national policy of massification, among others, in case he is elected head of the institution.

Without detailing how he intends to increase the number of clubs, Mr. Gomes underscored that the training level is the base for the emerging of new talented players.

Antonio Gomes also said that he intends to restore the credibility of the national football in the national and international context.

António Gomes is the current head of the Technical Commission for Sports Development of the Sports Council of the African Union Region 5.

Nando Jordão (list - A), the outgoing chairperson Artur Almeida e Silva (B) and José Alberto Macaia (D) are also running for the FAF's highest position.

 The elections for the helm of the FAF takes place on November 14.
