Endiama re-launches three diamond projects

Dundo - Angola's diamond producing firm (Endiama) has announced plan to spend USD 25 million on re-launch of the Cassanguidi, Chimbongo and Furi diamond projects in the municipality of Cambulo, eastern Lunda Norte province.


The company's CEO Ganga Júnior announced this Friday while speaking to the press, at the end of the two-day visit to Lunda Norte province.

Ganga Júnior said that the mines will produce 20,000 carats of diamonds per month after they start operating within two months.
 

He said that the projects will guarantee at least a thousand jobs for local youth, but he would not reveal the period of time the project has been at stand still.


Lunda Norte province has 100 industrial and semi-industrial mining cooperatives in the universe of 240 across the country.
