Gulkis opens dairy industry in November

Luanda - A dairy factory, with a capacity to produce 100,000 liters of liquid milk and 25,000 liters of condensed milk per day, will be inaugurated next November in the Luanda / Bengo Special Economic Zone (EEZ).

Speaking to Angop today the factory manager said the deal resulted from an investment of US $ 55 million and will generate 200 jobs, 185 for nationals and 15 for foreigners (Indians).

The industry, according to the speaker, is equipped with advanced technology and will apply hygiene methods in production, according to the highest international standards.

In addition to liquid and condensed milk, at a later stage, the factory will produce other food products such as milk juice, natural yogurt, pasta and cooking oil.

The businessman said that all processing, from packaging to the final product, is done locally, stimulating the economy of the country providing more and more job opportunities for the youth.

Sagar Mukhinda  said so at Expoindustria, opened on Wednesday by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE),running as  from 9 to 12 October.
