Luanda - The refurbishment works for the rainwater system, improvement of pavement, sidewalks and replacement of lancis, in the first crossroads of Avenida Comandante Gika, Maianga district, in Luanda, were interrupted due to financial constrains.

ANGOP learned from a source at the Technical Unit for Sanitation Management of Luanda (UTGSL) that the contract by the construction company Odebrecht , started at the beginning of 2017, is not completed due to the current economic situation in the country.

The source said that the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL) guarantees that contacts are under way with the Ministry of Finance (MINF), in order to allocate funds so as to resume the works in the shortest possible time.
