Luanda - The biological molecular double check of the positive results of the specimens of Thursday in southern Huila province showed a negative outcome, ridding the province of the covid-19 alarm.

The information was released Friday in Luanda by the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the usual covid.19 update briefing with journalists.

“The reactive case was negative”, he said, reaffirming that “there are covid-19 cases only in Luanda and in Cuanza Norte”.

Quick tests were carried out on Thursday in Huila province involving 12 people who were in quarantine in Lubango city’s “Novo Hotel”. 10 had travelled from Luanda and one from southeastern Cuando Cubango province.

Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 483 infections, 25 deaths, 118 recoveries and 340 active patients.
