Luanda - After one year since the demerger of the National Airports and Air Navigation Exploration Company (ENANA) the now Airports Management Society (SGA - S.A) says it is ready for market competition, allied to the Angolan government’s strategy to restructure aeronautical sector in the country.

The move will go in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), says a press release that reached Angop as part of the celebration of the first anniversary of the institution, marked on July 1.

The document adds that from the split of ENANA emerged the Airport Management Company under the terms of the Presidential Decrees numbers 206 and 207/19 of July 1.

"The institution is aligned with the strategy of the government with regard to the restructuring of the transport sector, positioning itself for competition in the airport sector, in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)", says the note.

The source also states that the objectives include the practical differentiation of 'aviation and non-aircraft' services; new partnerships (airport concessions) tailored to policy; and effective international best practice in the sector.

SGA has elaborated, in partnership with stakeholders, a global strategy for the Angolan airport system, defined in five objectives that characterize a new vision for the sector.
